FNR Notification Reader
Privacy Policy for Free Notifications Reader (FNR)
We kindly ask you to carefully read this Privacy Policy before using the application. This policy governs all interactions between you and the services provided by Free Notifications Reader (FNR). Your privacy and the security of your personal data are very important. For this reason, the permissions requested by FNR are explained below in detail, together with the way they are used and the safeguards applied.

General Principles
-
FNR only requests permissions that are strictly necessary for its functionalities.
-
No personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted to external servers by the developer.
-
All information processed by FNR is used locally on your device, for the sole purpose of providing the functions explicitly requested by the user.
-
You are always free to enable or disable options in the app’s settings. If you prefer not to grant certain permissions, you can simply avoid using the corresponding features.

Permissions Requested
FNR requires the following main Android permissions:
-
android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE
-
android.permission.READ_CONTACTS
-
android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (and WRITE)
-
android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO
The purpose of each permission is detailed below:
1. READ_PHONE_STATE
This permission is required when the option “Warn if Phone Call” is active. It allows the app to detect an incoming call and start the corresponding warning functionality. Without this permission, the app cannot alert you of phone calls.
2. READ_CONTACTS
This permission is also related to the “Warn if Phone Call” option. It is used to check whether the incoming caller is saved in your Contacts, in order to provide caller identification in the notification. If you do not want this feature, you can disable the option and the permission will not be used.
3. READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
This permission is used for compatibility with ANDROIDs 9- and it is used exclusively to manage the app’s configuration files. FNR saves and retrieves your personal settings and preferences in these files, so that your customizations remain active across sessions. The app does not access or modify other personal files on your device.
4. RECORD_AUDIO
This permission enables the voice command functionality of FNR. It allows the app to listen to your vocal commands or spoken replies to notifications. Importantly, this is not used to record your private conversations or to store audio files. The audio input is processed only to interpret your voice commands in real time.

Data Processing and Security
-
FNR does not collect or transmit your personal data to the developer or third parties.
-
All data is processed locally on your smartphone.
-
No user profiles are created, and no tracking systems are used.
-
Audio input from your microphone is processed only for immediate recognition and is never stored.
-
Storage access is limited to the configuration files directly related to the app.
User Control
At any time, you may:
-
Disable specific features in the app’s settings if you do not wish to grant the related permissions.
-
Revoke app permissions directly from your Android system settings.
-
Uninstall the application, which immediately removes all its data and settings from your device.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated or modified in future releases of Free Notifications Reader. The most recent version will always be made available together with the application or on the official distribution channel.
By continuing to use FNR after an update, you acknowledge and agree to any changes made to this policy.
